OEM Saab Floor Mats

There's an inexpensive way to keep Saab floor maintenance costs low in the long run. Put in OEM floor mats. Just be sure you buy mats made of the right materials for your needs.

Many floor mats are made of fabric or carpet. They usually have nonslip bases to help keep them from crumpling up. Plus, they catch mud and soak up liquids. Others are tougher. Take all-weather mats, for example. They're often made of vinyl or rubber to repel muck rather than absorb it. Some custom floor mats, however, are easier to clean, thanks to having caps, grooves, or spikes. Others get help gripping floors better from clips or retainers.

When a floor mat should be replaced depends on its overall condition. Do any of yours have rips? Are they bunching more than usual? If so, you should change them immediately. Tearing leads to more tearing, and that can lead to worse bunching, and that usually results in a mat getting stuck under your accelerator or brake pedal. That's a dangerous situation during a drive.
